"Poolside: Chair and Table" is part of a series I did from the marina where I kept my sailboat for many years. I loved autumn most of all, with the strong light and usually great wind. That light made the plastic pool furniture glow, and the deep shadows helped to lift the mundane subject matter to another plane. I can still feel that sun and the breeze on my face as I passed by the pool to the docks to sail out of there.
