Hydrangea #5
This painting is one in a series of 8 oil pastels I did - all abstracts that came from a beautiful deep blue violet hydrangea blossom. Hydrangea #5 is the only one that is on canvas. I did a faint inkjet print of my photo abstract on specialty canvas and then worked over it with the oil pastels to get this ethereal image. The painting is in an archival mat that measures 12" H x 14" W. The surface is very delicate and should be protected with glass or plexiglass.
